Historical Encampments

Each year the Fairhaven Village Militia holds two weekend-long historical encampments at Fort Phoenix. Usually invited guests including the Wareham Minutemen & Militia Companies participate as well. Visitors will be able to see a Revolutionary War era camp, military drilling, camp cooking, musket and cannon firing demonstrations, and learn about 18th Century medical and dentistry practices. They may also try their hand at tomahawk throwing or a variety of children's games.
